What is a WEA Branch?
A Branch is a group of WEA learners - considered members of the Association - who form to develop their own education programme and learn the things which they feel are important to them. Classes may include anything from Basic Literacy to Philosophy, from Assertiveness to Welfare Rights.

New Branch in the Vale
With the help of Development Worker Kim Vidal, a new branch has been set up in the Vale.
BAPS (Barry, St Athan and Penarth) Branch will meet in various locations in the Vale.

Caerphilly Branch
Congratulations to Becky Ames and Branch Chair Kevin Jenkins, who began their
courses at Glamorgan University in September. Becky is studying Paediatric Nursing, while
Kevin is studying Creative Writing. Both learners started with WEA and progressed to
study with the University of Newport.
