The courses equip members of the community and community workers with the skills and knowledge to give advice and guidance on education and training. The role of a Community Learning Rep is voluntary but there is a qualification in advice and guidance at the end of the course plus extra training and support if needed. Training covers: Understanding learning - the benefits of learning, and the barriers that stop people taking advantage of the opportunities they have Personal development - developing your own communication and listening skills Knowledge of learning opportunities - information on various types of learning and support on offer in your local area. |
